One pint of blood can save up to three lives
So what's stopping you?
Mike was my incredible and courageous husband, who sadly passed away from leukaemia (a type of blood cancer) in July 2024 at just 46 years old. Our two little boys were only 6 and 7 at the time. Thanks to over 100 pints of donated blood products from strangers, we were gifted 16 more precious months with him.
I created Pint for Mike to raise awareness about the life-saving importance of blood donation and to honour Mike’s legacy. He spent most of his career serving others in the Navy and the Police — always putting others first.
Benefits of Donating
Why Donate with Pint for Mike
At Pint for Mike, we emphasize the benefits of regular blood donation and aim to provide a positive and impactful experience for donors. Our focus is on creating a supportive and safe environment for individuals to contribute to the well-being of others through the simple act of donating blood.
Save Lives
Every pint donated can save up to 3 adult lives or 6 infant lives. With every donation, you’re giving hope, second chances, and a brighter future to those who need it most.
Blood is in short supply
The UK regularly faces blood stock shortages. Don’t wait, your donation today could be the lifeline someone desperately needs tomorrow.
Benefits you
Donating blood also benefits your own health, lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease, reducing iron levels linked to heart disease and stimulates the production of new, healthy blood cells. In addition you actually burn calories donating blood!

Our Initiatives
Bloodtober: Inspiring the Next Generation of Donors

About Bloodtober
We’re calling on schools across the UK to take part in Bloodtober — a campaign to educate Year 13 students (aged 17+) about blood donation every October.

Purpose
Young donors are vital to replacing older donors who become ineligible. Encouraging students to donate helps build a lifelong habit of giving back and saving lives.
About Pint for Mike
Advocating for Lifesaving Blood Donations
Mike lost his battle with leukemia in 2024, but thanks to blood transfusions, he had extra precious months with his children and family.
Hundreds of people have already donated blood in Mike’s memory. You can join them by giving in honor of Mike or someone special to you.
Pint for Mike, we are passionate about advocating for regular blood donations to ensure a stable and reliable blood supply for patients in need. Our platform aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and the impact it has on saving lives across the UK.
